Cosmetic Surgery figured into Jenny’s future

testimonial_jenny.jpgAmerica: the land of the perpetually young… or so it seems on TV. The youthful bodies and faces of older celebrities like Cher and Joan Rivers seem to mock gravity and Father Time. And it’s not just older folks. The younger female celebrities on music videos flash eye-popping curves and cleavage. It’s enough to give a regular woman an insecurity complex.

The good news is that the days when cosmetic surgery was a luxury imited only to the super-wealthy or movie stars is over. In the United States this year, for example, more than 200,000 women will have their bustlines enhanced surgically. They do so to correct what Mother Nature may have scrimped on, to enhance their self-confidence, or to simply look better in clothes. The fact is, breast enhancement is now one of thefastest growing elective surgical procedures over the past 10 years.

Jenny, a patient of The Wall Center, is part of that growing trend. “So many people have breast enhancement,” Jenny confesses. “I thought, if they can do it, why can’t I?” Deciding that she wanted to enhance her bustline was the easy part. She checked it out with her husband, who was thumbs up on the idea. The next step was finding the right plastic surgeon. “My husband has been friends with the Wall family for along time. Through that relationship I learned that Dr. Simeon Wall, Jr.
specialized in breast augmentation. I met with him and he discussed the approach he recommended to achieve the look I wanted. By making incisions under my arm, the procedure would leave no visible scarring. That was important to me.”

Jenny was adamant about the look she desired with her bustline. And at the same time as the breast procedure, she also wanted Dr. Wall to perform liposuction to sculpt her waist. The surgery went well, she notes.“It surpassed my expectations. It was great to be so thin,” she says. “I also thought it was nice that the evening after the surgery, Dr. Wall called to make sure I was okay. That was a nice touch. I think it’s important to find a plastic surgeon who will spend plenty of time with each patient not just before, but also AFTER surgery to make sure I’m okay.”

According to Dr. Wall, Jr. people in their thirties, forties and fifties now see cosmetic surgery as a way of looking as young as they feel. “Compared to years ago, people today are far more active in their forties and fifties,” he says. “The prevailing thinking is if you FEEL young, you want to LOOK young. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a better figure. If we can achieve it safely and with pleasing results, cosmetic surgery canmake a very positive impact in someone’s life.”

Jenny and her husband have no complaints afterward. “I can’t explain it,” she says. “It’s like the excitement you get after having a makeover, except this is a new look that doesn’t disappear over time.”
